The venue is listed as being open until midnight we arrived slightly before 10pm for cocktails. On arrival the venue was empty which while it meant it lacked atmosphere it did create a romantic feel as we had the place to ourselves. Initially the staff appeared respectful and attentive. We noticed they served small finger foods so we enquired as to whether food was being served and were advised yes until 11pm. We ordered a portion each of the mini burgers very nice but we were still left hungry. So we asked for another portion of burgers and the sandwiches around 10-30pm. At this point the vibe changed entirely. Most of the members of staff had now congregated together in the entrance to the bar staring in our direction. The food that came after was not the same standard and seemingly undercooked. When I went to the toilet I attempted to smile at a member of staff who proceeded to scowl and turn away. When we finished eating around 11pm the staff then came and removed all of the mood lighting leaving us with only a small table light and relative darkness. The slow chilled music was turned off and just the two of us started playing at an uncomfortable volume meaning we could barely hear each other. It was clear the staff wanted us gone so they could go home early which was confirmed when we saw them running to the car park shortly after we left around 1130pm. The drinks themselves were weak and I sobered up while I was at the venue which is disappointing given they were 14 euros a drink. All in all a place that tries to give the Impression of class and sophistication, but exudes barely any. My advice would be to book early and aim to leave before 11pm or you will be made to feel intimidated and uncomfortable by the staff.
